 Thank you for stopping to visit. Elizabeth Ives School for Special Children, Inc. is a small, private, non-profit, State of Connecticut Department of Education approved, special education facility that services children with a variety of identified special education needs. It has been in existence since 1963. The school is approved to accept children who range from 5 through 21 years of age. Their exceptionalities may include: severe emotional disturbance, neurological impairments, significant behavioral issues, intellectual disabilities, speech language impairments, and multiple handicaps. Our low student:teacher ratio, generally 2:1 enables us to individualize programs so that our students can experience success.
